What is the current state?
Currently the team that consists of 2 data engineers either receive requests to find and gather some data or are presented with a data source they need to ingest. They start with manually gathering data, transforming it locally using Jupyter notebooks and either storing the data in a Snowflake database for the Data Analysist further use, or, in cases where there is a request to create visuals, then they usually export the transformed and aggregated data in a JSON or GeoJSON format and store it to an S3 where the frontend application is hosted.
